Because we were here, we shall Be Moved! (A poem for the start of the High Holy Days)


Words of prayer articulate our highest ideals.

May the words we recite,

the meditation of our hearts,

The songs we sing,

The music we allow to penetrate our soul,

move us,

this year,

to improve our life,

improve the lives of others we do not know

 as well as those we do know and love.
